The middleweight bout between Maki Pitolo and Doug Coltrane headlines the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship’s debut in Hawaii. The event takes place on Saturday, April 11 at Neal S. Blaisdell Center in Honolulu.
“BKFC is thrilled to debut in the beautiful state of Hawaii, home to a wealth of bare-knuckle fighters and fans,” said BKFC President David Feldman. “We’re putting together a fantastic evening of action-packed fights featuring many of the toughest and most talented fighters in Hawaii.”
Pitolo (16-12 MMA) makes his BKFC debut after submitting Armus Guyton in the second round of their MMA bout last October. Earlier in his career, the 35-year-old Honolulu native secured a 1-5 record in the UFC after earning a first-round stoppage victory over Justin Michael Sumter at Dana White’s Contender Series 19 in July 2019.
Former BKFC middleweight title challenger Coltrane (3-2) of Smithfield, North Carolina, returns to the ring after suffering defeats against Zeb Vincent in August 2024 at BKFC Kansas City and David Mundell in their championship bout at BKFC 53 in November 2023.
The BKFC Honolulu co-main event is a light heavyweight bout between Kealii Kanekoa (1-0) of Pahoa, Hawaii, and Joseph Creer (5-3) of Columbus, Georgia.
The featured fight is a featherweight contest between Toby Misech of Hilo, Hawaii, and Charles Bennett (1-3) of Ocala, Florida.
