O’Shaquie Foster faces Raymond Ford on May 30 at the Fertitta Center in Houston, Texas. The two fighters square off in a championship bout, live on DAZN.
Two-time WBC super featherweight champion Foster (24-3, 12 KOs) makes the first defense of his belt in his second reign. Former WBA featherweight champion Ford (18-1-1, 8 KOs) makes his first attempt to become a two-division world champion.
Foster, from Orange, Texas, was previously scheduled to defend his title against Stephen Fulton last December. Fulton missed weight, and they fought for the interim WBC lightweight title, with Foster earning a unanimous decision victory.
Foster become a two-time WBC 130-pound champion by split decision in a rematch against Robson Conceicao in November 2024. In their first fight in July of the same year – his third title defense – the 32-year-old came up short by split decision.
“I’m happy and excited to fight at home for the first time as a World champion – it’s a dream come true,” Foster said. “We will be 1,000 per cent prepared, and we will dominate from round one.”
Ford, from Camden, New Jersey, is riding a three-fight winning streak, having defeated Abraham Nova by unanimous decision in his previous bout last August.
Foster lost his WBA 126-pound title by split decision to Nick Ball in his first defense in June 2024. The 27-year-old southpaw won the vacant title with a 12th-round TKO over Otabek Kholmatov in March of the same year.
“I’m just happy he finally signed the contract,” Ford said. “When it came down to it, I was the biggest fight out there for him, and now it’s time to fight, and I can’t wait for it. He’s a good name for my resume, and I’m taking that belt on May 30, and becoming a two-weight World champion.”
The bouts featured on the Foster vs. Ford undercard, along with ticket information, are expected to be announced shortly.
