Jim Miller vs Bobby Green gets fourth booking at UFC 300

A lightweight bout between Jim Miller and Bobby Green has been announced for UFC 300 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday, April 13. The booking marks the fourth time an-all American contest has been scheduled to go ahead.

The pair was previously set to battle it out in April 2014, February 2021 and July 2022. None of the bouts took place, as Green was forced to pull out due to injury, after he collapsed at the weigh-ins and due an undisclosed reason, respectively.

Jim Miller (37-17, 1 NC) was in action last weekend at UFC Vegas 84, taking the win via third-round face crank submission against Gabriel Benitez. Last June, the 40 year-old native of Sparta Township, New Jersey KO’d Jesse Butler in the first round.

Bobby Green (31-15-1, 1 NC) lost his previous bout last December by knockout in the first round against Jalin Turner. Earlier in 2023, San Bernardino, California’s 37-year-old KO’d Grant Dawson in 33 seconds and submitted Tony Ferguson in the third round via arm-triangle choke.

Dana White made a two-fight announcement in a new video today. Also announced for UFC 300 a “BMF” fight, pitting Justin Gaethje, who currently holds the belt, against former UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway. The bout is scheduled for five rounds at lightweight.

The list of bouts featured on the UFC 300 card to date looks as the following:

  • Weili Zhang vs. Yan Xiaonan, women’s strawweight – Zhang’s UFC women’s strawweight title
  • Charles Oliveira vs. Arman Tsarukyan, lightweight – UFC lightweight title eliminator
  • Justin Gaethje vs. Max Holloway, lightweight – Gaethje’s BMF title
  • Jiri Prochazka vs. Aleksandar Rakic, light heavyweight
  • Aljamain Sterling vs. Calvin Kattar, featherweight
  • Bo Nickal vs. Cody Brundage, middleweight
  • Deiveson Figueiredo vs. Cody Garbrandt, bantamweight
  • Jim Miller vs. Bobby Green, lightweight
