Unbeaten Henry “Moncho” Lebron faces Derlyn Hernandez-Geraldo in a 10-round super featherweight bout on September 26 in Puerto Rico. The venue is expected to be announced shortly.
Puerto Rican southpaw Lebron (21-0, 11 KOs) comes off a seventh-round stoppage victory over Juan Tapia on the Serrano vs Tellez undercard in January. The outing marked the 28-year-old’s first fight in over a year.
Hernandez (14-5-1, 12 KOs) of the Dominican Republic won his previous bout in March by sixth-round knockout against Abisael Cotto on the undercard of Parrilla vs Velasquez. With the victory, the 32-year-old bounced back from defeats to Andres Cortes and Jaycob Gomez.
Lebron is ranked No. 5 by the IBF, No. 14 by the WBA, No. 12 by the WBO, and No. 22 by the WBC. Hernandez is ranked No. 14 by the WBO.
Ahead of the event, Lebron signed a promotional deal with Salita Promotions and Universal Promotions.
